So, these are the Pros and Cons of the Vivo Y21G, now let’s see the full features and specifications of the smartphone.

Vivo Y21G Review

The Vivo Y21G is not worth buying because Vivo is offering an HD+ IPS LCD Display while Vivo has added Mediatek Helio G70 which is not a high-end processor. So, Vivo is just charging extra money by saying it is an offline phone.

Overall, we suggest you skip the Vivo Y21G and take a look at other devices available in the market like Redmi Note 11, Realme 9 5G, and Samsung Galaxy M32 4G.

Now, let’s go deeper and see what Motorola has offered in its Moto G22 smartphone.

The device features a 6.51-inches HD+ IPS LCD Display with 1600 x 720 pixels screen resolution, 60Hz Refresh Rate, and 120Hz Touch Sampling Rate.

The back panel and frame of the device are made out of plastic while there is glass protection on the top but Vivo has not disclosed which glass they used on the display.

Here, Vivo should have provided the FHD+ display but they didn’t, they went with an HD+ IPS LCD Display which is not acceptable considering the price of the device. Overall, we can say that the display of the device is compromised.

Vivo Y21G Display

As the device does not feature an AMOLED Display, hence it has a Side-mounted fingerprint scanner to unlock the device using fingerprints.

So, if you are looking for a smartphone with a higher refresh rate or FHD+ Display, you can go with another phone.

The Vivo Y21G has a dual rear camera setup with an LED flash in the rectangular module that houses a 13MP primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture.

There is an 8MP Selfie Camera Lens with f/2.0 aperture in the waterdrop style notch display. Both the front and rear cameras can record up to 1080p videos at 30fps.

The 13MP rear camera sensor shoots okay-type photos and the dynamic range of the device is very limited. Also, forget that 2MP macro sensor as it’s added just for numbers and has no use in real life.

Now, the 8MP selfie camera clicks okay photos and details are very limited. Vivo should have at least provided a 13MP selfie camera but they didn’t, they went with 8MP only which is not acceptable at this price.

Vivo needs to work on the cameras and provide better cameras, especially the rear camera at this price. Also, they need to optimize the camera to justify the pricing.

Overall, the cameras of the smartphone are totally not great compared to what other brands are providing at the same price point. So, if you are looking for a camera-centric device, you can skip this phone.

Under the hood, the Vivo Y21G is powered by an octa-core Mediatek Helio G70 Processor which is paired with Arm Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. It comes with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB of eMMC 5.1 Storage. There is a dedicated SD card slot for storage expansion of up to 1TB.

The device runs on Android 12-based FuntouchOS 12 skin out of the box which is a good thing.

It also has Virtual RAM availability or Extended RAM feature. However, the Extended RAM feature is a gimmick and used only for marketing purposes and has no use in real-life, so forget about that.

Now, at this price point, Helio G70 is not acceptable, Vivo should have provided Helio G90 or Snapdragon 680 SoC at least but they didn’t.

Vivo Y21G Performance

The Helio G70 processor is not that powerful, if you are a heavy user then the phone feels laggy, and sometimes, it freezes for seconds while opening applications. Overall, don’t expect the performance to be great, you will be disappointed with the performance.

Overall, we can say that the performance of the device is also compromised just like other aspects including cameras and display.

The device features a 5,000 mAh Battery with 18W Fast Charging Support. Vivo has also added an 18W Charger in the box of the phone.

Here, you will get a good battery backup as it only has HD+ Display with a 60Hz Refresh Rate, so the device will give you a one-day battery backup easily. Now, where other brands are providing 30W or 33W Charging support, Vivo has gone with 18W which is not good.

Overall, we can say that the battery of the device is good and you will not face any kind of issues.

The Vivo Y21G does not have dual stereo speakers, instead of that it has a single speaker which is loud enough, but still, Vivo needs to provide a dual stereo speaker to justify the pricing but they didn’t.

Also, the device does not have a secondary noise-cancellation microphone, so another user on the call might have a problem hearing your voice during the call.

However, the Vivo Y21G has a 3.5 mm Headphone Jack which means you can plug your wired earphones without any issues. Overall, the audio quality and the call quality are good and are not the best at this price point.
