So, these are the Pros and Cons of the Vivo X80 Pro 5G, now let’s see the full features, specifications, and Review of the handset.

Vivo X80 Pro Review

The Vivo X80 Pro 5G is a solid device but the main issue here is most people will not pay Rs 80k (or ~USD 1000) for the Vivo brand even after it has great features from camera to processor.

Also, even after paying Rs 80k, you will get pre-installed applications and ads with the phone, however, you can uninstall these apps but still, after paying Rs 80k, I don’t think Vivo has done well.

Now let’s start the review for those, who can pay Rs 80k for the Vivo brand.

The Vivo X80 Pro 5G features a 6.78-inches 2k LTPO 3.0 Curved AMOLED Display with a 3200 x 1440 pixels resolution and 120Hz Refresh Rate.

The display further has a 92.2% Screen-to-body ratio, a 20:9 Aspect Ratio, 1500 nits Peak Brightness, HDR10+ support, and a 10-bit color depth that produces 1.07 Billion possible colors.

The smartphone also has Widevine L1 support which means you can play FHD+ content on OTT platforms like Amazon Prime Videos and Netflix.

The device has Glass Protection on the front side and the back panel also has glass protection while the frame is made out of aluminum. However, Vivo has not disclosed which glass protection they have used on the phone.

The smartphone also has an Ultrasonic In-Display fingerprint scanner which has a wider unlocking area and unlocks the device at a faster speed.

Overall, the Vivo X80 Pro 5G has a great display quality and you will not face any problems while playing games or even watching videos or even performing day-to-day tasks.

The device has a quad rear camera setup with an LED flash in the rectangular module that houses a 50MP ISOCELL GNV primary sensor with an f/1.57 aperture that has Gimbal OIS.

The rear camera is paired with a 48MP IMX598 ultrawide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 12MP IMX663 portrait lens with f/1.85 aperture, and an 8MP periscope telephoto lens with f/3.4 aperture.

There is a 32MP selfie camera lens in the punch-hole design display with an f/2.45 aperture. The rear camera can record up to 8K videos while the front camera can record up to 4K videos at 30fps.

Out of four, three lenses have OIS built-in, so there is nothing to worry about video quality. The video footage will come out stable and that gimble camera will help a lot when you shoot videos with the primary sensor.

The phone has a gimbal as well as OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), so you will not face any issues with videos, the photos come out smooth and you will not face any issues with dynamic range and colors as well.

Still, Vivo needs to work on the Gimbal camera, as of now the videos come out good but sometimes, there is shakiness while recording the videos at 4k or 8k.

Vivo X80 Pro

The 50MP primary lens and 48MP ultrawide lens take some good shots even at low-lighting or night photography. The OIS and gimble also help the device a lot at night photography to remove the shakiness.

The 12MP portrait lens and 8MP telephoto lens also take some good shots with 5x optical zoom. Here, Vivo has done a good job by not providing any 2MP sensor in the phone. Also, Vivo has also added tons of camera features to the camera app.

Vivo is known for the selfie camera and the same can be said for the 32MP sensor which is used on this device at the front. It is a well-optimized sensor and takes some good images with good lights and even at low lights too.

Overall, there is nothing to complain about about the cameras on the phone. Vivo has added almost all the features and all the sensors are also well-optimized.

Under the hood, the Vivo X80 Pro is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Processor which is paired with Adreno 730 GPU for graphics. It comes with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 Storage.

The smartphone runs on Android 12-based FuntouchOS 12 skin out of the box and Vivo has promised to provide three OS updates and three years of security updates.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Processor heats up in the thermal testing, however, this heating issue is not the problem of phones, it’s a chipset issue but in real life, the smartphone does not heat too much even while playing high-end games.

Vivo X80 Pro

Now, even at this price point, you will get pre-installed apps in the device which can be uninstalled but still, Vivo should not have to include them as this is a premium smartphone.

Overall, the smartphone is fast and it will give you the powerful performance to run every single game available on the market.

The Vivo X80 Pro packs a 4,700 mAh Battery with 80W Wired Fast Charging Support. The phone also has 50W Wireless Charging Support. Vivo has included an 80W charger in the box.

For casual users, the device will last for a day but if you are a heavy user who plays a lot of games then ready to charge the device twice a day.

Overall, the battery of the device is good and you will face any issues.

The Vivo X80 Pro has dual stereo speakers which give you a better sound experience without any issues. It also has a dual noise cancellation microphone along with IR Blaster to control smart devices.

However, the phone does not have a 3.5 mm Headphone Jack to plug in your wired earphones or headphones. So, you will have to use wireless earphones or Type-C to 3.5 mm converter to use wired earphones.

Overall, the audio quality of the device is good and you will not face any issues.
