Samsung Galaxy A33 5G Review
No doubt Samsung Galaxy A33 is a good smartphone but it’s overpriced. At this price, we have better phones than Galaxy A33 5G, so it doesn’t make any sense to pay extra money for Samsung Logo. In short, if you wanted to buy only Samsung branded phone then yes, Galaxy A33 5G is worth buying.
Let’s go deeper and see what Samsung has offered in its Samsung Galaxy A33 5G smartphone.
Display
The Samsung Galaxy A33 5G features a 6.4-inches Super AMOLED Display with 2400 x 1080 pixels screen resolution, 90Hz Refresh Rate, and 180Hz Touch Sampling Rate.
There is no doubt Samsung makes the best display panels for smartphones and the same quality can be seen in Galaxy A33 5G. So, you will not face any problems.
The device also has Widevine L1 support which means you can stream FHD+ content on OTT apps like Prime Video, Netflix, etc.
Here, Samsung has used a waterdrop notch style display which is not acceptable. So yes, Samsung has done cost-cutting on that.
The back and frame of the device are made out of plastic while there is Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front side.
Here, Samsung should have provided the Glass back but they didn’t, and yes this is a Samsung smartphone, so can’t expect everything.
Overall, the display is good and you will not face any issues with that.
Cameras
The Samsung Galaxy A33 5G features a 48MP primary lens that has OIS, an 8MP ultrawide angle lens, a 5MP macro lens, and a 5MP depth lens.
There is a 13MP Selfie Camera Lens with an f/2.2 aperture. The rear camera can record up to 4k videos at 30fps while the front camera can record up to 1080p videos at 30fps.
You may have expected the camera to be great but that’s not the case with Galaxy A33 5G. The cameras are decent but are not great considering the price of the device.
The 48MP primary sensor clicks some good shots but it tries to saturate the colors.
We have seen, many brands that do the same thing but it depends on you, whether you like saturated images or natural colors.
Talking about ultra-wide-angle sensors, when there is good lighting, the sensor provides good images with good details but when you take images at night, the sensor tries to overexpose the image and this is where it loses out on details.
Here, I feel, considering the price of the device, Samsung needs to work on the front camera.
Overall, the Galaxy A33 5G has a decent camera but it does not justify the price of the device. The phone should have been launched at a lower price, but if you are a Samsung fan, you will not complain much about the cameras.
Performance
The Samsung Galaxy A33 5G is powered by an octa-core Samsung’s in-house Exynos 1280 Processor coupled with Arm Mali-G68 GPU.
The chipset is powerful enough to play every single game available in the market without any issues.
The phone runs on Android 12-based OneUI 4.1 skin out of the box which is a good thing. Also, Samsung has promised to provide 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates.

The smartphone also has extended RAM or Virtual RAM availability. However, the extended RAM is a gimmick and used only for marketing purposes and has no use in real-life, so forget about that.
Overall, the performance of the device is good and you will not face any issues while playing games or using them in day-to-day life.
Battery
The Samsung Galaxy A33 5G features a 5,000 mAh Battery with 25W Fast Charging Support. Although, Samsung has not provided any charger inside the box of the device.
Here, most of the smartphones at the price comes with 50W or 65W fast charging support, so yes, Samsung has done cost-cutting by giving slow charging support and not providing any charger.
Overall, the battery of the device should last for a day but if you are a heavy user then you need to charge the device twice.
Audio
The Samsung Galaxy A33 5G comes with Stereo Speakers which provide you with good quality audio. It also has a secondary noise cancellation microphone which helps you during calls.
The smartphone does not have a 3.5 mm Headphone Jack which means you can not plug your wired earphones or headphones.
Overall, the device had good sound quality and you will not face any issues while taking calls.
