Redmi has launched a new smartphone under its Redmi 9 Series in India, named Redmi 9A Sport. The device is similar to the Redmi 9A which was launched previously, that’s it 🤷♂️.
The smartphone comes with a 13MP rear camera, 5MP selfie camera in the water-drop style display, and has a 5000 mAh Battery with 10W charging support.

Redmi 9A Sport Specifications
The device features a 6.53-inch HD+ IPS LCD Display with a screen resolution of 1600×720 pixels and a 60Hz Refresh Rate. The display further has a pixel density of 269 PPI, 20:9 aspect ratio, and 400 nits Brightness. It also has TUV Rheinland certification.
The handset is powered by an octa-core Mediatek Helio G25 Processor coupled with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It comes with up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of Storage. There is a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion of up to 512GB.
Redmi 9A Sport features a 13MP primary camera lens that has an aperture of f/2.2 with an LED Flash. There is a 5MP selfie camera lens in the water-drop style notch display.
Connectivity options on the device include 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v5.0, and a Micro USB port for charging. There is also a 3.5 mm Headphone Jack. The handset does not support NFC (Near Field Communication).

Sensors on the handset include G-sensor, L-Sensor, and P-Sensor. There is no Fingerprint Scanner on the device. The handset runs on Android 10-based MIUI 12 skin out of the box.

The device launched in two different variants – 2GB RAM + 32GB Storage, and 3GB RAM + 32GB Storage. It comes in three color options – Carbon Black, Metallic Blue, and Coral Green.
The 2GB+32GB model is priced at Rs 6,999, and the 3GB+32GB model is priced at Rs 7,999. The device is now available to purchase on Mi.com, Amazon India, and also be available on offline retail stores.
