Redmi has launched a new smartphone under its Redmi 10 Series in India, namely Redmi 10 Prime. This device is an upgraded version of the Redmi 9 Prime that was launched last year.
The handset comes with an octa-core Mediatek Helio G88 processor, has a 50MP quad rear camera setup, and an 8MP selfie camera in the punch-hole design display.

Redmi 10 Prime Specifications
This smartphone features a 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD Display with 2400×1080 pixels resolution and 90Hz Refresh Rate. The display further has a pixel density of 405 PPI, 20:9 aspect ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 Protection on the top.
The handset is powered by an octa-core Mediatek Helio G88 Processor coupled with Arm Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. It comes with up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB of eMMC 5.1 Storage. There is a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion of up to 512GB.
There is also the extended RAM availability, which provides the 4GB or 6GB RAM model with up to 2GB additional Virtual RAM or extended RAM.
The 2GB extended RAM effect on the 4GB or 6GB RAM phone allows one to maximize their smartphone’s potential and run apps faster, and improve the performance. According to Redmi, this extended RAM technology can use 2GB of external memory to keep more apps open in memory at the same time.

Redmi 10 Prime features a 50MP Quad Rear Camera setup with an LED Flash in the rectangular module. The cameras consist of a 50MP primary lens with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture that has 120-degree field-of-view, a 2MP depth lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2MP macro lens with f/2.4 aperture.
There is an 8MP Selfie camera lens with an f/2.0 aperture. Both the rear and front cameras can record up to 1080p videos at 30fps.
Connectivity options on the handset include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.1, and a USB Type-C port for charging. There is also a 3.5 mm Headphone Jack.
Sensors on the device include a Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, E-compass, and IR blaster. There is a Side-mounted Fingerprint Scanner. The device further has Dual stereo speakers and dual mics.

This smartphone launched in two different variants – 4GB RAM + 64GB Storage, and 6GB RAM + 128GB Storage. It comes in three color options – Astral White, Bifrost Blue, and Phantom Black.
The 4GB+64GB model is priced at Rs 12,499, and the high-end 6GB+128GB model is priced at Rs 14,499.
The first sale of the device starts from 7th September at 12 PM (or Noon) on Amazon, mi.com, Mi Home, and will also be available on Mi offline retail stores.
