Redmi 10 Power Review
Redmi is known for providing value for money smartphones to its users. But this time, it looks like Redmi has compromised with the latest Redmi 10 Power smartphone as it has many Cons compared to its Pros. Overall, we suggest you skip the device and take a look at other Redmi devices available in the market like Redmi Note 11, and Redmi Note 10S.
The Redmi 10 Power features a 6.71-inches HD+ display with 1650 x 720 pixels screen resolution and 60Hz Refresh Rate.
The frame and back panel of the device are made out of plastic while there is Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the top of the display.
The smartphone has a Rear-mounted fingerprint scanner to unlock the device using fingerprints.
Now, Redmi should have provided the FHD+ display but they didn’t, they went with an HD+ IPS LCD Display which is not acceptable considering the price of the device. Overall, we can say that the display of the device is compromised.
So, if you are looking for a phone with a higher refresh rate or FHD+ Display, you can skip this phone and go with companies Redmi’s other devices like Redmi Note 11 and Redmi Note 10S.
The Redmi 10 Power has a Dual Rear Camera setup with an LED Flash in the square module that houses a 50MP primary lens with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP portrait lens with f/2.4 aperture.
There is a 5MP Selfie Camera Lens with f/2.0 aperture in the waterdrop notch style display. Both the rear and front cameras can record up to 1080p videos at 30fps.
The 50MP primary sensor captures good photos but the dynamic range and details are very limited. And yes, forget that 2MP sensor as it’s added just for numbers and has no use in the real life.
Now, the 5MP selfie camera clicks photos and is very decent. Here, Redmi should have at least provided a 16MP selfie camera but they didn’t, they went with 5MP only which is not acceptable at this price point.
Also, Redmi needs to work on the cameras, especially the selfie camera as it’s not that good.
Overall, the cameras of the device are not good. So, if you are looking for a device with good cameras, you can go with Redmi’s own Redmi Note 11 as it has better cameras than this one.
The Redmi 10 Power is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 610 Processor which is paired with Adreno 610 GPU and comes with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM.
The device runs on Android 11-based MIUI 13 skin out of the box. Here, Xiaomi should have provided the Android 12 out of the box, but they didn’t which is not good.
The smartphone also has Virtual RAM availability or an Extended RAM feature. However, the Extended RAM feature is a gimmick and used only for marketing purposes and has no use in real-life, so forget about that.
Overall, the performance of the device is good and not that great.
The Redmi 10 Power features a 6,000 mAh Battery with 18W Fast Charging Support. However, Redmi has provided only a 10W Charger inside the box of the device which is again a disappointment.
Here, you will get a good battery backup as it only has HD+ Display with a 60Hz Refresh Rate, so the device will give you a one-day battery backup easily. Now, phones come with 30W or 33W Charging support, Redmi has gone with 18W which is not good.
Overall, we can say that the battery backup of the phone is good and you will not face any kind of issues.
The phone does not have dual stereo speakers, instead of that it has a single speaker which is loud enough, but still, at this price point, Redmi needs to provide a dual stereo speaker.
Also, the device does not have a secondary noise-cancellation microphone, so another user on the call might have a problem hearing your voice during the call.
However, the phone has a 3.5 mm Headphone Jack to plug in your wired earphones or headphones. Overall, the audio quality and the call quality are good and are not the best at this price tag.
