So, these are the Pros and Cons of the Realme 9 4G, now let’s see the full features and specifications of the smartphone.
Realme 9 4G Review
Yes, Realme 9 4G offers good specifications but it’s overpriced and does not have 5G support which Realme CEO Madhav Sheth has announced previously that all smartphones that Realme will launch above the price range of Rs 15,000 (~USD 205) will come with support for 5G connectivity.
However, Realme 9 4G has its Pros from 90Hz AMOLED Display to Gorgeous Design but Realme has also done some compromises on it which can be a letdown for most of the users. Let’s go deeper and see what Realme has offered in its Realme 9 4G smartphone.
Display
The device comes with a 6.4-inches FHD+ Super AMOLED Display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution, 90Hz Refresh Rate, and 360Hz Touch Sampling Rate.
The backside and frame of the device are made out of plastic while it has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Protection on the front side.
Realme has also added Widevine L1 support which means you will be able to stream FHD+ content on OTT apps like Amazon Prime Videos and Netflix.

As this is an AMOLED Display, it also has an In-Display Fingerprint Scanner to unlock the device which works fine.
Overall, the display quality is good and you will not face any kind of issues with the display of the device.
Cameras
The Realme 9 4G features a triple rear camera setup with an LED flash in the rectangular module that houses a 108MP Samsung HM6 primary sensor with f/1.75 aperture, an 8MP ultrawide sensor with f/2.2 aperture that has a 120-degree field-of-view, and a 2MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture.
There is a 16MP Selfie Camera Lens with f/2.45 aperture in the punch-hole design display. Both the rear and front cameras can record up to 1080p videos at 30fps.
Here, if the phone has a bigger sensor like 108MP it does not mean, the device will give you the best images.
Companies add bigger sensors, so they can market the smartphone and that’s it, there is nothing more to it. So be careful when you see a bigger sensor on a budget category phone.
Also, for the unaware, Snapdragon 680 SoC does not support 108MP cameras (only supports up to 64MP single camera), so we can’t say whether Realme has included a fake 108MP or it’s just a marketing gimmick.
Further, the phone does not have 4k video recording or even 1080p@60fps which is not acceptable considering the price of the device.

The videos come out good in good lighting conditions but in low lighting or at night, the camera loses details and the sensor tries to sharpen the videos. The same can be said for front video recording.
The primary sensor takes some good shots, the details also come out good, and there are also no issues with dynamic range. In the low lighting, the photos also come out good.
The 8MP ultrawide sensor also takes some good shots but in low lighting, it suffers a bit and loses out details. Now, forget that 2MP sensor as it’s added just for numbers and has no use in the real life.
The 16MP Selfie Camera also takes some good shots, and there are no issues but it boosts the colors of the images. So, if you like saturated images, you will be happy with the selfie camera.
Now, if we put that 108MP sensor aside then Realme needs to work on the camera department to justify the pricing of the device.
Overall, the device has a good camera but it’s not the best in the segment.
Performance
The Realme 9 4G is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 Processor which is paired with Adreno 610 GPU. The device runs on Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0 skin out of the box.
It comes with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 Storage. There is also a dedicated SD card slot for storage expansion.
The device also has extended RAM or Virtual RAM availability. However, the Virtual RAM is a gimmick and used only for marketing purposes and it has no use in real-life, so forget about that.

Now, Realme is marketing that, Snapdragon 680 is a 6nm processor which means, it will perform better than any other chipset which is not 100% true.
The 6nm architecture will help a lot in battery life, so yes, Realme 9 4G should give a better battery life compared to other smartphones but that does not mean, it will be faster.
So, don’t buy the phone if you are a gamer as it’s not made for gaming but it will give you good performance in day-to-day life.
Overall, the performance of the device is good but if you are a gamer then I don’t recommend this smartphone because it’s not made to play heavy games all day. However, the processor is good and you will not face any issues in day-to-day life.
Battery
The smartphone features a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Realme has also provided a 33W Charger in the box.
The battery will last for a day but if you’re a heavy user who performs lots of tasks then you will need to charge the device two times a day.
The 33W charger can fully charge the device from 0 to 100 percent in around 70 minutes. Overall, the battery life of the device is good and the processor also helps a lot and the newly Snapdragon 680 SoC helps a lot.
Audio
The device does not have dual stereo speakers, instead of that, it has a single speaker which is loud, but still at this price, Realme needs to provide a dual stereo speaker but they didn’t. It also has a secondary noise cancellation microphone which will help in calling.
The Realme 9 4G also has a 3.5 mm Headphone Jack which means you can plug your wired earphones or headphones without any issues.
Overall, Realme has done an okay-type job in the audio department and you will not face any issues with it.
