Poco X4 Pro 5G Review
Poco X4 Pro 5G has its Pros from Snapdragon 695 SoC to 120Hz Refresh but Poco has also done some compromises on it which can be a letdown for some users. Let’s go deeper and see what Poco has offered in the Poco X4 Pro 4G smartphone.
Display
The Poco X4 Pro 5G features a 6.67-inches FHD+ Super AMOLED Display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and 120Hz Refresh Rate.
It further has a 360Hz Touch Sampling Rate and has 1200 nits of Peak Brightness. So, you will not face any issues while using the device outdoor.
The device has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Protection on the top and the back is also made of glass while the frame is made out of plastic.
The Poco X4 Pro 4G also has support for Widevine L1 which means you will be able to stream FHD+ content on OTT platforms like Prime Videos and Netflix.

Now, most of the 5G smartphones under Rs 20k come with a 120Hz LCD display or 60Hz AMOLED display but here, Poco has added a 120Hz AMOLED display which is a great thing.
Overall, the phone has the best display at this price point, and you will not face any issues, as of now, this is the only 5G smartphone that has a 120Hz AMOLED display at this price.
Cameras
The device has a triple rear camera setup with an LED flash in the rectangular module with Poco branding.
The rear cameras house a 64MP primary lens with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultrawide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP macro lens with f/2.4 aperture. However, the global variant of the device has a 108MP primary lens with an f/1.8 aperture.
There is a 16MP Selfie Camera Lens with f/2.45 aperture in the center-positioned punch-hole design display. Both the rear and front cameras can record up to 1080p videos at 30fps.

The Poco X4 Pro 5G does not have OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), so it relies on EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) which works well considering the price of the device.
The 64MP or 108MP primary sensor captures some good images in the daylight but it suffers a little bit in night photography. Now, this can be fixed via an OTA update, but who knows when Poco will fix it.
The 8MP ultrawide angle sensor also captures some good ultrawide shots with good detailing but it also suffers in low lighting. Also, forget that 2MP macro sensor as it’s added just for numbers.
That 16MP selfie camera also takes good images, but it adds extra white colors, so Poco needs to work on the selfie camera of the phone but most people will not mind this as they like saturated images. That’s said, the front-facing camera is decent.
The videos do not come out well, but there is some shakiness to the footage, and also, there is some issue with dynamic range too.
Overall, the cameras of the device are good enough but if you are looking for a camera-centric device, you can skip the device.
Performance
The Poco X4 Pro 5G is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 Processor paired with Adreno 619 GPU for graphics. It comes with up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 Storage.
The phone runs on Android 11-based MIUI 13 skin out of the box. Here, Poco should provide Android 12 OS out of the box, but they didn’t, they went with Android 11 which is not good at this time.
Now, we have seen Snapdragon 695 SoC in many devices and the same has been added to this phone.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 Processor is a powerful processor and it can run every single game available on the market without any issues.
The naming of a processor can be confusing but don’t worry, the Snapdragon 695 chipset is a little bit more powerful than Snapdragon 750G.
The device also has extended or Virtual RAM availability. However, the Virtual RAM is a gimmick and used only for marketing purposes and has no use in real-life, so forget about that.
The Poco X4 Pro is 5G supportive and it has 7 5G bands which include n1, n3, n5, n8, n28, n40, and n78.
Overall, the phone is good for playing gaming and you will not face any kind of issues while using the phone in day-to-day life.
Battery
The Poco X4 Pro 5G packs a 5,000 mAh Battery with 67W Fast Charging Support. Poco has also included a 67W Charger inside the box of the phone.
As per the company, this 67W Charger can charge the device from 0 to 70 percent in around 22 minutes and can fully charge the device in around 42 minutes.
Overall, the battery life of the device is great and it should last for the day but in the end, it depends on how you use the phone in day-to-day life.
Audio
The Poco X4 Pro 5G has stereo speakers which give you good sound output, no issues there. The device has dual speakers, so you will not face any issues with audio.
There is also a secondary noise cancellation microphone which helps a lot during calls.
The device also has a 3.5m headphone jack, so you can use your wired earphones or headphones without any issues.
Overall, the sound quality of the device is good and you will not face any kind of issue with calling too.
