Oppo A76 4G Review

Oppo A76 4G has its Pros from 90Hz to good looking design but the brand has also done many compromises on its 4G smartphone which can be a huge letdown for most of the users. Let’s go deeper and see what Oppo has offered in its Oppo A76 4G smartphone.

The Oppo A76 4G features a 6.56-inches HD+ TFT LCD Display with 1612 x 720 pixels screen resolution, 90Hz Refresh Rate, and 180Hz Touch Sampling Rate.

The display further has a pixel density of 269 PPI, 600 nits Peak Brightness, and an 89.9% Screen-to-body ratio.

Here, Oppo should have provided an AMOLED Panel but they didn’t, instead of that Oppo went with an A-Si TFT LCD Display. So, yes Oppo has done cost-cutting in that.

There is nothing wrong with the HD+ TFT display but this is Rs 17,499 (~USD 235) smartphone and at this price, it’s not acceptable at all.

Oppo A76 4G Display

The front of the device has Panda Glass Protection while the backside and frame are made out of plastic.

As the phone has a TFT LCD display, hence it has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and not In-Display Fingerprint Scanner.

Overall, considering the price of the device, Oppo A76 4G does not have a good display quality. Oppo should have gone with an AMOLED display but they didn’t.

The Oppo A76 4G features a 13MP Dual Rear Camera Setup with an LED Flash in the rectangular camera module. The cameras consist of a 13MP primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP bokeh sensor with f/2.4 aperture.

There is an 8MP Selfie Camera Lens with f/2.0 aperture in the punch-hole design display. Both the front and rear cameras can record up to 1080p videos at 30fps.

Just like display, the same can be said for the cameras of the device too, considering the price tag, the Oppo A76 4G does not have the best camera at this price.

Don’t expect the camera to be the best, the same camera quality can be found under Rs 10,000 (~USD 135) smartphone.

Oppo A76 4G Cameras

The 13MP camera sensor takes some okay-type images under good lights but when it comes to low lights, the sensor suffers also and this is where it loses out on details, even night mode doesn’t give the best images.

Now, let’s just forget that 2MP sensor as it’s added just for numbers and it helps companies in marketing only.

Coming to the 8MP selfie camera, if you love the soft selfies then you will love the 8MP front camera as it’s far away from natural colors.

Overall, the Oppo A76 4G doesn’t provide good quality images and it doesn’t qualify to be a Rs 17k smartphone with this kind of camera.

The device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 Processor coupled with Adreno 610 GPU. It comes with 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 Storage.

Here, the Oppo A76 4G is also compromised in the performance department. Oppo should have provided a better chipset but they didn’t, they went with Snapdragon 680 which other brands are providing at Rs 10k (~USD 135) price point.

The phone runs on Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1 skin out of the box. Here, the brand should have provided the Android 12 OS out of the box but they didn’t, instead of that they went with Android 11.

Oppo A76 4G Performance

The Oppo A76 4G also has extended RAM or Virtual RAM availability. However, the Virtual RAM is a gimmick and used only for marketing purposes and has no use in real-life, so forget about that.

However, the chipset is good enough and you will not face any issues with that. Again, it does not have 5G support, so you will be stuck with 4G.

Overall, the performance of the phone is good but if you are a gamer then I don’t recommend this smartphone because you can get this same chipset at a lower price.

The Oppo A76 4G has a 5,000 mAh Battery with 33W Fast Charging Support. The company has also included a 33W Charger inside the box of the device.

Overall, the battery of the device should last for a day but in the end, it depends on you, how you use your device.

If you are a heavy user or play games then you need to charge the device twice, but if you are a normal user, it will last for a day without any issues.

The device does not have stereo speakers, the single bottom speaker does work but again, it is a single speaker.

The device also has a secondary noise cancellation microphone, so you will not face any issues during calls. However, the phone has a 3.5 mm Headphone Jack to plug in your wired earphones or headphones.

Overall, the sound quality of the device is good (not that great) and there are no issues with call quality too.
