So, these were the Pros and Cons of the Oppo A16e. Now, let’s see the full features and specifications of the device.
Oppo A16e Review
The Oppo A16e is not worth buying because Oppo is offering an HD+ LCD Display while the device does not have a fingerprint scanner on it. So, Oppo is just charging extra money just for nothing. Overall, we suggest you skip the Oppo A16e and take a look at other devices available in the market like Poco M2.
Just like other Oppo devices at the same price, the Oppo A16e is also an overpriced phone but now they need to provide some value to their customers as other brands are offering much better value.
Also, this could have been the best smartphone, if there were no other device available but that’s not the case, we do have many phones which are available at the same price as Oppo A16e and they offer a lot better value.
The device features a 6.52-inches HD+ LCD Display with 1600 x 720 pixels screen resolution and a 60Hz Refresh Rate. The display further has an 89.27% Screen-to-body ratio and 480 nits Brightness.
The frame and back panel of the phone are made out of plastic while there is Corning Gorilla Glass 3 Protection.
The Oppo A16e has a 13MP single rear camera with f/2.2 aperture in the square module. There is a 5MP Selfie Camera Lens with f/2.4 aperture in the waterdrop style notch display. Both the front and rear cameras can record up to 1080p videos at 30fps.
The 13MP rear camera clicks okay-type photos and the dynamic range of the device is also very limited.
When it comes to selfies, the 5MP selfie camera clicks photos and is also okay-type. Here, Oppo should have at least provided a 13MP selfie camera but they didn’t, they went with 5MP only.
Oppo needs to work on the cameras and provide better cameras, especially the selfie camera at this price. Also, they need to optimize the camera.
Overall, the cameras of the smartphone are not that great compared to what other brands are offering at the same price.
The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Mediatek Helio P22 Processor coupled with an IMG GE8320 GPU. It comes with up to 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 64GB of eMMC 5.1 Storage.
The device runs on Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1 skin out of the box. Here, Oppo should have provided Android 12 OS out of the box but they didn’t.
Also, at this price point, Mediatek Helio P22 is not acceptable, and Oppo should have provided Helio G80 at least.
The chipset is not that powerful too, the phone feels laggy and sometimes, it freezes for seconds while opening applications. Overall, don’t expect performance to be great, you will be disappointed with the performance.
The smartphone has a 4,230 mAh Battery with 10W Charging Support and Oppo has used Micro-USB Port for charging which is again a disappointment.
Oppo has included a 10W charger inside the box. However, this is totally unacceptable at this price point, Oppo should have provided at least 18W charging support.
Also, there are no stereo speakers but it does have a 3.5mm headphone jack, a dedicated SD-card slot while it does not have a fingerprint scanner.
