Oppo has launched a new smartphone under its A-Series in India, named Oppo A16. The device comes as an upgraded version of the Oppo A15 that was launched a few months ago.
The device comes with a Mediatek Helio G35 Processor, a triple rear camera setup, a selfie camera in the water-drop style display, and has a 5000 mAh Battery.

Oppo A16 Specifications
This smartphone features a 6.52-inch HD+ IPS LCD Display with a screen resolution of 1600×720 pixels, 60Hz Refresh Rate, and 60Hz Touch Sampling Rate. The display further has an 88.7% Screen-to-body ratio, 269PPI pixel density, and 480 nits Brightness.
The handset has an octa-core Mediatek Helio G35 Processor coupled with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It comes with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB of eMMC 5.1 Storage. There is also a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion.
The Oppo A16 has a 13MP triple rear camera setup with an LED flash in the rectangular module. The cameras consist of a 13MP primary lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 2MP mono lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2MP macro lens with f/2.4 aperture.
There is an 8MP Selfie camera lens in the water-drop style notch with an f/2.0 aperture. Both the rear and front cameras can record 1080p videos at 30fps.

Connectivity options on the handset include 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, and a USB Type-C port for charging. There is also a 3.5 mm Headphone Jack while the device does not support NFC (Near Field Communication).
Sensors on the device include a Geomagnetic sensor, Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Step Counting sensor, and Gravity sensor. There is a Side-mounted Fingerprint Scanner.
The device packs a 5000 mAh Battery with 10W Charging support. Oppo has also provided a 10W charger inside the box. The handset carries a weight of 190 grams and measures 163.8 x 75.6 x 8.4 mm (height, width, and depth respectively).
The device further runs on Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1 skin out of the box.
Price and Availability in India
The device launched in only one variant of 4GB RAM and 64GB Storage. It comes with three color options – Pearl Blue, and Crystal Black.
The sole 4GB+64GB model is priced at Rs 13,990. The sale of the device starts from 20th September on Oppo India’s Online Store, Amazon, and also be available on offline retail stores.
