OnePlus Nord 2 5G Launched in India: Full Specifications

OnePlus has launched a new smartphone under its Nord Series in India, namely OnePlus Nord 2 5G. In comparison to the last year’s Nord that came with quad rear cameras and dual selfie cameras, the Nord 2 5G comes with triple rear cameras and a single selfie camera.

The Nord 2 5G comes with a Dimensity 1200-AI processor that has an upgrade over its predecessor. The new smartphone, moreover, has a large battery, faster charging, and a bigger primary camera. This is the first smartphone from OnePlus to come with a Mediatek Processor.

OnePlus Nord 2 Specifications

This smartphone features a 6.43-inch FHD+ Fluid AMOLED Display with 2400×1080 pixels resolution, 90Hz Refresh Rate, and 180Hz Touch Sampling Rate. The display further has an aspect ratio of 20:9, a pixel density of 410 PPI, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Protection on the top.

The handset is powered by a 6nm-based octa-core Mediatek Dimensity 1200-AI Processor coupled with Arm Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. It comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 Internal Storage.


According to the OnePlus, the MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI chipset will be exclusive to the OnePlus Nord 2. As the name of the Processor suggests, it has some extra AI features compared to the standard version of the MediaTek Density 1200.

The device features a 50MP Triple Rear Camera setup with Dual LED Flash. The cameras consist of a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary lens with f/1.88 aperture that features Optical Image Stabilization, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.25 aperture that has 119.7-degree field-of-view, and a 2MP mono lens with f/2.4 aperture. There is a 32MP Sony IMX615 selfie camera lens with an f/2.45 aperture.

The rear camera can record up to 4K videos at 30fps. There are also preloaded video-focussed functions including Super Slow Motion video recording on 1080p at 120fps, Time-Lapse, Video editor. There are also other features including Nightscape Ultra, AI Photo Enhancement, AI Video Enhancement, UltraShot HDR, Portrait Mode, Dual Video, and a Pro Mode.

Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/A-GPS, NavIC, NFC Technology, and a USB Type-C port. There is no 3.5 mm Headphone Jack. Sensors on the device include an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. The smartphone also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The device packs a 4500 mAh Battery with 65W Fast charging support, and the company has provided the 65W charger inside the box. It can fully charge the device in just 30 minutes.


OnePlus has offered dual stereo speakers on the Nord 2 5G, and there is also noise cancellation support. The device carries a weight of 189 grams and measures 159.1 x 73.3 x 8.2 mm (height, width, and depth respectively).

The handset further runs on Android 11-based OxygenOS 11.3 skin out of the box. The skin is notably based on Oppo’s ColorOS 11.3.

Price and Availability in India

This smartphone launched in three different variants – 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, and 12GB+256GB. The 6GB+128GB model is priced at Rs 27,999; the 8GB+128GB model is priced at Rs 29,999; and the high-end 12GB+256GB model is priced at Rs 34,999.

It comes in three color options – Gray Sierra, Blue Haze, and Green-Wood. However, the base variant will be limited to the Blue Haze color option, while the 8GB+12GB model will be available in both Blue Haze, Gray Sierra color, and the Green Woods will be exclusive to the high-end model.

The open sale of this smartphone starts from 28th July on Amazon,, OnePlus Experience Stores, Reliance Digital, Croma, Bajaj Electronics, and other retail partners including Vijay Sales.

The early access sale of this smartphone starts from 26th July. It will be limited for Amazon Prime members via Amazon and OnePlus Red Cable Club members through the site and the OnePlus offline retail stores.

The 6GB+128GB model will be available in August and it has only limited stocks, while the 12GB+256GB Green Woods color will available from August 2021.
