OnePlus 10 Pro Review
OnePlus partnered with Hasselblad to give the best camera quality but it didn’t work out well. The camera is above average and considering the price tag, it’s not the best camera phone to buy as we already have iPhone 13 and Samsung Galaxy S22 which has a better quality camera, so why do we pay £799 or €899 or $899 or ₹66,999 to OnePlus.
The OnePlus 10 Pro 5G is a solid device but it’s not considering the price of the device. Overall, the OnePlus 10 Pro is not a value-for-money device. OnePlus did a good job with a camera but it doesn’t justify its price tag that said.
OnePlus 10 Pro has its Pros from Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Processor to 120Hz 10-bit AMOLED Display but OnePlus has done some compromises which can be a letdown for some users. Let’s go deeper and see what OnePlus has offered in its OnePlus 10 Pro smartphone.
Display
The OnePlus 10 Pro features a 6.7-inches QHD+ LTPO2 AMOLED Display with 3216 x 1440 pixels screen resolution and 120Hz Refresh Rate.
The display further has a 20.1:9 aspect ratio, 1300 nits Peak Brightness, HDR10+ support, and a 10-bit color depth that produces 1.07 Billion possible colors.
The device also has Widevine L1 support which means you can stream FHD+ content on OTT apps like Amazon Prime Videos and Netflix.
The device has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Protection on the front side and the back panel also has Gorilla Glass 5 protection while the frame is made out of aluminum.

The OnePlus 10 Pro also has an In-Display fingerprint scanner which unlocks the device at a faster speed.
Overall, the device has a great display and you will not face any problems while watching content, playing games, or even performing day-to-day tasks.
Cameras
The OnePlus 10 Pro 5G has a triple rear camera setup with an LED flash in the square module. The rear camera houses a 48MP Sony IMX789 primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture that has OIS (Optical Image Stabilization).
The device also has a 50MP ISOCELL JN1 ultrawide angle sensor that has a 150-degree field-of-view and has an 8MP telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture that has OIS and 3x optical zoom.
There is a 32MP Sony IMX615 Selfie Camera lens in the punch-hole design display. The rear camera can record up to 8k videos at 24fps while the front camera can record up to 1080p videos at 30fps.
The phone has OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization), so you will not face any issues with videos, the images come out smooth and you will not face any issues with dynamic range and colors.

With the OnePlus 10 Pro, the company took the partnership with Hasselblad to the next level as the Hasselblad Pro mode can now be used on all three rear cameras. This will enable users to adjust the parameters of their shot, ranging from ISO to white balance.
Still, OnePlus needs to work on the camera, as of now the videos come out good but sometimes, there is shakiness in the videos.
The 48MP primary lens and 50MP ultrawide lens take some good shots even at night. The OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) also helps a lot at night as they remove shakiness. The 8MP telephoto also takes some good shots, no issues there.
The 32MP selfie camera is also good and captures some decent images. However, the phone does not have an extra good camera like what we are getting on iPhone 13 and Samsung Galaxy S22 which were launched at almost the same price.
Overall, the cameras do not justify the price of the device and the OnePlus 10 Pro needs some improvement.
Performance
The OnePlus 10 Pro is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Processor which is paired with Adreno 730 GPU. It comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 Storage.
The device runs on Android 12-based OxygenOS 12.1 skin out of the box.
Now, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC heats up in the thermal testing, however, this heating issue is not the problem of smartphones, it’s a chipset issue but in real life, the phone does not heat too much even while playing high-end games.

Even at this price point, you will get some pre-installed apps in the device which can be uninstalled but still, OnePlus should not have to include them.
The device is 5G supportive and has 9 5G bands which include n1, n3, n5, n8, n28A, n40, n41, n78, and n79.
Overall, the device is fast and is capable of running every single game available in the market without any issues.
Battery
The device packs a 5,000 mAh Battery with 80W Wired Fast Charging Support. It also has 50W Wireless Fast Charging Support. OnePlus has also provided an 80W charger inside the box of the phone.
OnePlus has claimed that the 80W charger can fully charge the device from 1 to 100 percent in around 32 minutes.
Overall, the battery life of the device is good. However, if a user is playing games then you need to charge the device twice a day, but if you are a normal user, the device will barely last for a day.
Audio
The OnePlus 10 Pro 5G has dual stereo speakers which give you a better sound experience. The device also has a dual noise cancellation microphone that helps you in calling.
As this is a flagship phone, so it does not have a 3.5 mm Headphone Jack to plug your wired earphones or headphones. Hence, you will have to use wireless earphones to Type-C to 3.5 mm converter to use wired headphones.
Overall, the audio quality of the device is good and you will not face any issues.
