iQOO Z6 Pro 5G Review
iQOO Z6 Pro 5G has its Pros from Snapdragon 778G Processor to AMOLED Display but iQOO has also done some compromises in it which can be a letdown for some users.
Let’s go deeper and see what iQOO has offered in its iQOO Z6 Pro 5G smartphone.
Display
The iQOO Z6 Pro 5G features a 6.44-inches FHD+ AMOLED Display with 2404 x 1080 pixels screen resolution, 90Hz Refresh Rate, and 180Hz Touch Sampling Rate.
It further has a 1300 nits Peak Brightness, so you will not face any issues while using it outdoors.
Now, most of the brands at this price comes with a 120Hz AMOLED Display but iQOO has gone with only 90Hz AMOLED which is good but still here iQOO has done cost-cutting.
The device has Schott Xensation Glass on the top while the back panel and frame of the phone are made out of plastic.
iQOO has also added Widevine L1 support which means you can play FHD+ content on OTT platforms like Amazon Prime Videos, Netflix, etc.
As the device has an AMOLED Display, hence iQOO has added an In-Display fingerprint scanner to unlock the device using fingerprints which is a good thing.

However, iQOO did not provide any official IP rating, so don’t try to use the smartphone under the water.
Overall, the display quality of the phone is great and you will not face any kind of issues with it.
Cameras
The iQOO Z6 Pro 5G features a triple rear camera setup with an LED flash in the rectangular module that houses a 64MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultrawide angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture.
There is a 16MP Selfie Camera Lens with f/2.0 aperture in the waterdrop style notch display. The rear camera can record up to 4k videos at 30fps while the front camera can record up to 1080p videos at 30fps.
The device does not have OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), so it relies on EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization).
Here, iQOO has added a waterdrop notch design display which is not acceptable considering the price of the phone.
Considering the price, the videos from the rear cameras come out good with good details and there is also no issue with dynamic range too. However, the quality of 4k videos is not that great, so try not to use it.
The 64MP primary sensor takes some good shots and the detailing also comes out well and there are no issues with dynamic range too.
The 8MP ultrawide sensor also captures some good wide-angle shots. However, they suffer in low lighting conditions or at night. Also, forget that 2MP sensor as it’s added just for number and has no use in real life.

Now, the 16MP Selfie camera clicks some good shots but it boosts the colors of the images, and also sometimes it misses out on details. So yes, iQOO has done cost-cutting in selfie cameras, they should have provided a better sensor like 32MP but they didn’t, they went with 16MP which is not good.
Overall, the rear cameras of the device are good and justify the price range but the front camera needs some improvement.
Performance
The iQOO Z6 Pro is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G Processor which is paired with Adreno 642L GPU. It comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 Storage.
The device runs on Android 12-based FuntouchOS 12 skin out of the box which is a good thing.
The smartphone also has Virtual RAM or Extended RAM 2.0 feature. However, the Extended RAM availability is a gimmick and used only for marketing purposes and has no use in real-life, so forget about that.
The phone also comes with tons of pre-installed apps which can be uninstalled but still, it comes with lots of bloatware.

Overall, the Snapdragon 778G is a powerful processor and it can handle almost everything. In short, the performance of the phone is good and you will not face any kind of issues.
Battery
The iQOO Z6 Pro 5G packs a 4,700 mAh Battery with 66W Fast Charging Support. iQOO has also provided a 66W Charger in the box.
Here, the battery of the device is low compared to what other brands are offering but it’s good and not that great.
Overall, the battery will last for a day but in the end, it will depend on how you use the smartphone in day-to-day life.
Audio
The smartphone does not have stereo speakers, instead, it only has a single speaker which is loud but still at this price, iQOO should have provided dual speakers. It has a secondary noise cancellation microphone which helps you during calls.
The phone does not have a 3.5 mm headphone jack which means you can’t plug your wired earphones directly.
Overall, the audio of the device is not good, iQOO needs to work on the audio department.
