iQOO Z6 5G Review
iQOO Z6 5G has its Pros from Snapdragon 695 Processor to 120Hz Refresh Rate but iQOO has done some compromises by providing 5G connectivity on it which can be a huge letdown for some users who are not looking just for a 5G smartphone.
Let’s go deeper and see what iQOO has offered in its iQOO Z6 5G smartphone.
Display
The iQOO Z6 5G features a 6.58-inches FHD+ IPS LCD Display with 2408 x 1080 pixels resolution, 120Hz Refresh Rate, and 240Hz Touch Sampling Rate.
The device has Panda Glass Protection on the top while the back and frame are made out of plastic.
Here, iQOO should provide an AMOLED Panel but they didn’t, instead of that they went with an IPS LCD Display. So, yes iQOO has done cost-cutting in that.
Further, iQOO has added the support for Widevine L1 which means you will be able to watch FHD+ videos on OTT apps like Netflix and Prime Videos.
There is nothing wrong with the LCD panel but this time, it looks like, the display quality has been compromised.
When you are using a smartphone facing yourself, the display looks amazing, the colors are also good but when you see the display from the side or when tilt the display bit, the colors fade out a little bit.

Now, the device comes with an LCD panel which means, it can’t have an in-display fingerprint sensor and that’s why iQOO has added the sensor on the right side in the power button.
The fingerprint sensor is fast and accurate, no issues there, its works like a normal side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The display is also bright enough to use outdoors.
Overall, I feel, iQOO should have gone with an AMOLED panel rather than LCD, even 60Hz AMOLED would have been a better option.
So if you’re okay with an LCD display then this could be a good option otherwise, do take look at other AMOLED panel devices.
Cameras
The iQOO Z6 5G features a 50MP Triple Rear Camera Setup with an LED Flash in the rectangular module. The cameras consist of a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture.
There is a 16MP Selfie Camera Lens with f/2.0 aperture in the waterdrop style notch display. Both the rear and front cameras can record up to 1080p videos at 30fps. It does not have OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), hence the device relies on EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization).
Here, iQOO has compromised in the camera department and that’s the reason why the smartphone is priced at Rs 15,499 and not a 20k even with the Snapdragon 695 SoC.
The video quality of the device is not that great, iQOO tries to boost the colors, and it also losses out on details.

That 50MP primary sensor is fine, it doesn’t take a good image. There is some issue with the dynamic range. Sometimes, the image comes out very good, and sometimes, it’s not even useable.
iQOO needs to work on camera otherwise, this is a smartphone with a powerful processor only, cameras are just there.
Now, those 2MP+2MP sensors are added for numbers, forget about that as they will help companies in marketing.
Overall, iQOO Z6 5G has below-average cameras and one should not buy this smartphone for a camera, it’s a good smartphone for gaming only at a good price, nothing else.
Performance
The iQOO Z6 5G is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 Processor coupled with Adreno 619 GPU. The iQOO Z6 5G runs on Android 12-based Funtouch OS 12 out of the box.
We have seen the same processor in many phones that were launched recently and the same has been added to iQOO Z6 5G too.
The Snapdragon 695 is a powerful processor and it is capable of running every single mobile game available in the market without any problems.

The naming of a processor can be confusing for most users but don’t worry, the Snapdragon 695 is a bit more powerful than the Snapdragon 750G.
The device has 5G support and has two 5G bands which include n77 and n78.
Overall, the performance of the device is great and you will not face any issues while playing games or even using the phone in day-to-day life.
Battery
The iQOO Z6 5G packs a 5,000 mAh Battery with 18W Fast Charging Support. iQOO has also provided an 18W Charger inside the box of the device.
The charger will fully charge the device from 0 to 100 percent in around 110 minutes.
Overall, the battery of the device should last for a day but if you are a heavy user then you need to charge the device twice.
Audio
The iQOO Z6 5G does not have stereo speakers, the single bottom speaker does work but again, it is a single speaker.
The device also has a secondary noise cancellation microphone, so you will not face any issues during calls. iQOO Z6 5G does not have carrier aggregation support.
However, the phone has a 3.5 mm Headphone Jack to plug in your wired earphones or headphones.
Overall, the sound quality of the device is good (not that great) and there are no issues with call quality too.
